We just arrived home from the second night of Mike's Barbeque Trifecta. It's late, I'm going to sleep immediately, the "bedroom" windows are open and I am about to drift off to the sound of bull frogs all around me.
Life is incredibly good.
I hope that you too are able to go to bed listening to such pleasant sounds.

When we are focused on the night sounds of nature, that is when we are really living! I hope you slept in this morning.
We've been going to sleep with the sound of rainfall this past week. It is very soothing.
a barbecue trifecta sounds like my kind of event! Rest well - we hear the peaceful murmur of an white noise machine --what one will do for sleep and peace in your household. Not many bullfrogs here - we have the little peepers - tree frogs by the tons.
Like Mildred, we've heard rain nearly every night now for days and days and days and ... I'm not complaining though (not much ... ha ha). We've needed the moisture something awful.
Did you save any BBQ for us? I thought not. Bad girl. [smile]
Happy Memorial Day my friend! [sending a friendly wave your way]
I love the sound of bullfrogs at night. We have those and we get to listen to the river rushing by! It can't get any better then that! Sometimes we can hear the coyotes howling when the train is coming down through the valley. That is a mournful sound.
Last night the Loons were calling on the nearby lake..so lonely and mournful..I believe they were upset about having to share their lake with tourists. :)
Hope you had sweet dreams. :D
I'll take bull frogs over whip-poor-wills any day.
