My Head is Spinning, I Can Not Type

Nearly ninety today and lotsa moisture. Up at five and out in the sun from nine to three thirty. Wished I had got going out of the house a little earlier, I can't even remember what I dilli-dallied over. Feeling sorta queasy this evening. But I got lots done and big day tomorrow taking cuttings, good week for it but I've got to get to them early. No dilli-dallying tomorrow!
.
I'm taking my first rose cuttings, ever. I hope they do well because I have a rose that J&P doesn't sell anymore and it is my absolute favorite. Then it will be a slew of mock orange and lots of other snippets all over the Farm.
.
Started the day with harvesting sweet peas for the vase. Oh they smell so good. And then I had to give the vines a little spritz with Neem oil and Epsom Salt for the naughty little aphids and the mildew they bring with them.
.
Then out to the Highway Garden to cut weeds, water and read. I'm digging my new resolution to never pull another weed again ever, unless it is a buttercup. We'll just have to see how it works out. More on that later, with pics and rationalizations galore.
.
I'm thinking, thinking mind you, not promising, Friday for more test recipes for Moon-Pies. Sorry there were no pics taken yesterday at the party, oops. Bet did say, "Great party, a little history and junk food!"
.
Oh and Bowser has found a home! It is exactly the home I prayed would find him. An eleven year old boy who needs a puppy. He needs a buddy help him burn off energy out-of-doors and then be settled down inside. Bowser is a perfect fit! He will help show the boy how to play hard and then relax inside. Bowser is good at relaxing. They came and paid for him tonight and are picking him up at six a.m. tomorrow!
.
Right now it is beddie-by time. Looking forward to sweet dreams of life in heaven.

Bowser has become a 'therapy dog'? Glad he got a little boy!

I am not looking forward to the hot, hot weather predicted for the rest of the week....I think taking time to read in a shady spot would be a very good thing to do.

The sweet peas are so colorful. I'm looking forward to seeing these moon pies. Take care in the heat Lanny.

Girl sounds like you had a really busy day. Sorry you guys are getting some hot days. We have had some rain and cooler temps which are oh so welcome.

What pretty sweet peas. It sounds like you got even more heat than us yesterday. I can't believe this summer so far. It's overcast this morning and I was hoping for rain, but guess that's not happening.
It definitely can wear you out working in the heat. Hope you got a good sleep!

Hooray for Bowser's new boy! Perfect sounding situation - ratters do like heavy duty play or work then serious and dedicated chillin' out! Sorry you are getting some hot weather - we are at least not in the triple digits for a while and that helps. I love sweet peas - both the types to eat and the flower ones!

Lanny: A blogger forgot to take pictures, OH MY. I do that every once in a while and wonder why. Working in the garden can be therapeutic bu tiring.
BTW: I'm getting a lot of zucchini from my garden.

Just learned something new today. I now know what neem oil is as I did a google after I read this post. Hope you don't mind me asking, how much do you use and how much epsom salts quantity wise? Trying to do the right thing and go green in my garden. Thanks so much for such an interesting post, what an enjoyable read. Hope you're feeling better now. Being out in the heat does that for me.

Interesting day for you. You do keep busy, and that does make for a good night's sleep. My problem is that I'm not asleep enough, but am doing better lately.

You did manage to type, though.

We are usually in the midst of oppresive heat by this time. Today it's supposed to finally reach into the 90's but then a cold front will follow tonight and back into the lower 80's for another week. Actually our corn could use some 'oppresive heat.'
I'm glad the good home was found for the dog.

I'm glad you found a home for Bowser. This post reminded me a little of a book I used to read my sons when they were little called "The Puppy Who Wanted a Boy." :D Hope you are having a good weekend, Lanny!
