Titles Are Overrated

Looking over my last post I would just like to say a few things on my behalf:

I buy new jackets for my husband.

He just refuses to get rid of this jean jacket that he has had for nearly twenty years.

My family has a bizarre need to wear certain clothing until it falls to pieces. Miss EBet is one of my worse offenders, she had a sweatshirt that I finally could no longer stand when it had shredded its way clear to half-length sleeves. Mind you sweat shirts don't really ravel, this was disintegrated by wear alone.

Okay now I feel better. And in Dirt's defense, for his seeming to desire to look like some sort of refuge, betadine and blood stains are wicked impossible to get out so why trash a nice jacket eh?

Well I won a little sumin' sumin' off of Ethel at Our_Views, by responding to her post that was this exactly:

"I "won" a homemade gift by leaving one of the first 5 comments on another person's blog, now I'll see who my first 5 are.

I'm thinking I might knit a sweater for everyone...what a joke! Lucky you!

The first five people to respond to this post will get something made by me!
My choice. For you. This offer does have some restrictions and limitations:
1- I make no guarantees that you will like what I make!
2- What I create will be just for you.
3- It'll be done this year. (might be a little while)
4- You have no clue what it's going to be. It may be a story. It may be poetry or an article on properly cleaning your face before a masque. I may draw or paint something. I may bake you something and mail it to you. Who knows? Not you, that's for sure!
5- I reserve the right to do something extremely strange.

The catch? Oh, the catch is that you must repost this on your blog and offer the same to the first 5 people who do the same on your blog. The first 5 people to do so and leave a comment telling me they did win a FAB-U-LOUS homemade gift by me!
Oh, and be sure to post a picture of what you win when you get it!

So....who will be the first 5 people?????"

To which I will add a request, that after you comment you e-mail me your address, you don't have to in order to win of course but then you will be very limited in what you will recieve from me. Oh, and if your number six or eight, or thirty-four, remember I have issues with rules I don't think matter and if you beg even just a little, I might have a little sumin' sumin' for you anyway, just don't tell the "blog giveaway game" police.

So I let you all have plenty of time to comment and I am going to take a little breakish then I will be back with a couple of good stories. One about what dogs bring back to you that you thought you buried, one about a young girl and her brother's '64 Impala, and one about Dirt showing a fellow goat raiser how to castrate a goat.

Terry came back from her ski trip with a new book for me to read (A.W. Tozer of course), my house is slightly untidy from having the warden out sick for a few days, so it's not that I don't love you and love to talk with you Dear Reader, but somethings are piling up and I must try and be responsible for a change.

By the way it is snowing at my house, not sticking mind you but it is snowing. And the birdies look so cute out at the feeders. So bye for now, yes, I am really going to go this time.

Lucky me! Except it is a little intimidating to think about offering to make something for the first five commentors!

You have such an interesting life. You are living it to the fullest. Thanks for sharing.

Am I lucky too ? Even in frayed ( well loved and worn ) garments, Miss Bet looks refreshingly lovely!

I totally understand the iodine and beta dyne stains on clothes as I discovered while I was getting my hair done, my jeans were well splattered with iodine after immersing the umbilical area of a lamb in it just before I rushed off to my appointment!

Glad you're feeling better, and as creative as you are I don't think anyone need worry about what you might send them...much...um, maybe ?( you might have a few lamb's tails and? laying around, eh?)

Good Morning Lanny, I appreciate your friendship and prayers for Nalley and me. I always look forward to your posts and in recent days, I have been following Bet and Anna's blogs also. So very thankful to have "met" you through blogging. I can't figure out where your email address is listed - HELP!

Hello! Well, a few years back, hubby said to me, "Don't buy me new clothes anymore." So I quit. He always would give away what I had bought and I just got sick of it. Now that he's in the military, all wardrobe needs are taken care of!!

As for my son, he mostly looks awful. Torn jeans, bushy hair --he was so cute when he was young.

I don't get a knitted pair of booties? Aw dang, too late (as usual).

I wear my garments until people tell they're back in style. Then in an effort to always be different, I get rid of them. HA!

Well, since you don't enough to do today and missed out on the knitting, you've been tagged! Nah, nah, nah, nah ... LOL Have fun! ♥ ∞

Whew - I hate doing stuff like that. If they ask me for something - no worries but to limit it to five or so would bother me.
Dirt is right - keep wearing that jacket. Everyone has at least one or two things they like to wear. I have several and when Char looks at throwing them away it use to bring up the words divorce court. I've mellow - I'm pretty sure we can settle it of court now.

Yes, when you like something why not keep wearing it until you wear it out!?

As for the idea, it's a great one. I just don't have the time or energy for that one. Working on a project myself.

Glad you're (seemingly) feeling better.

Just trying to catch up on blog reading. I'm way behind. Thank you for your kind words and prayers. They are much appreciated.
