Gardening Today

Today's cake choice:
Ginger Pear Upside Down Cake

Sorry, butcha get nothin outa me today! I am home free, no appointments, no problems, no needs, no issues (well I can stuff those and move on). Today it is going to be garden, garden, garden.

Dirt, it might be a good day to start reading the blog your wife dedicates to you, because for the next two days you, my dear man, are a garden widower. I am not coming in till it is dark or I am dead of the cold and rain. It would be nice if it didn't rain, like it didn't rain the whole time I was in town yesterday. (But really is that anything new, is it any different than me abandoning you for all the other things I abandon you for? You sure knew how to pick 'em, sorry)

Dear Reader, you are on your own for deep discussions on why we are here. I have one simple answer, to glorify God, enjoy Him forever and garden. Or it could be to glorify God and enjoy Him forever by gardening. Uh oh, it just left simple, I'm outa here.

Hey thanks for the good wishes and concerns and wonderful sage advice for the numb toes, at least I'm not numb from head to foot, at least the region in between is awake!

Dear Reader, I pray we give God, all three persons, His due today. He doesn't want much, just the whole of us and all our thoughts. Kiss Kiss Hug Hug I might be in for tea. Then again, I have thermoses.

You enjoy yourself dear Lanny in the garden. It is a beautiful, crystal clear day here and I am enjoying God's blessings, the birds and the forsythia and jonquils. Take care.

Don't you just love days like these...you can stay home and eat PRESCRIBED cake and I don't think Dirt minds being a gardener widower...why, your life is just chock full of Dirt you love!
Yes, glorify God, enjoy Him forever and garden...or spin wool.

It's raining here too and the weeds are starting to show their heads - I think I am being given a hint. Luckily Gardeners have waterproof skin!

I've enjoyed your blog. It's fun how our spouses get their nicknames. I'm actually one of 4 girls, and have 2 little ones myself.
Enjoy gardening today, it really is a great place to think isn't it? I always feel so refreshed mentally when I come in.

That looks good enough to eat. It is too bad the Internet doesn't have smells yet. I bet the aroma is delicious too.

I read a joke you will appreciate.
A naval landing party was investigating smoke coming from a pacific island they thought was uninhabited.
They found a shipwreck victim. He said he'd been there over 5 years.
He had built 3 grass huts. When asked about them he said "I live in the one on the right and the middle one is where I go to church." When asked about the other one, he indignantly replied, "Well, that's where I used to go to church."

We have a quoteby Thomas Jefferson hanging on a walls in our house. While I can't remember it word for for the many thought behind it is - there is nothing as splendid as the joy you get through gardening. Enjoy the garden.

I really like Cliff's joke - good cake picture - great ambition - my garden awaits my attention and I've totally neglected it for several days - that is a problem with me and living things - hard to stay focused. BUT - tomorrow is a new day and I'll get after it - was 86 degrees today - yes I love it

Do you have sweet peas? How I love those. I wasn't feeling well today, and during the phone call from the CEO, I went and sat outside in the sun.
So he kind of dropped the bomb on me when he said he was closing my division. But then, I was surrounded by the garden sitting in the sun, so I didn't mind as much.
