MMMM

It's raining
It's pouring
Lanny is done
snoring.

Wait, that was the dog not me.

Puttin' on the rubber pants and coat and heading out when the coffee drinking is done. Up too late trying to cram more hours in a day, so far that ain't working so well for me, how 'bout you? Changing that around today. Seriously. Stop laughing.

Got a call early today, evidently the doc is still sick, so technically, I am still well.

Pictures of plants and mud and work done, to follow. Pray that there will be an entertaining incident, there usually is, but I need to be able to remember it. Ah therein lies the appropriate prayer eh?

Dear Reader, the conversations you have today, with yourself or others, have them include God. Not talking about Him like you do Aunt Bessie or at Him like you do to your mom when you don't want her in your business, but talking with Him, leaving a few pauses so you can hear what He is saying. Do it all day. If you slip, stand up again, go at it again. Don't shrug it off like it can't be done, like you're not spiritual enough, like God has to bring you to it, He has.

oh, how often i don't leave those little pauses. i probably miss some great conversations with God when the conversation is one-sided.
I promise to pause and listen more. thanks for the encouragement, Lanny.

Boy do I ever admire you, donning the rain suit and getting out there! Thanks for the reminder that we need to wait and listen for God. It seems like I'm always in a hurry and I don't wait for his answer. Thanks Lanny, I think I will be a better listener from now on.

Putting on the rubber pants.....and heading out when the coffee drinking is done...that made me laugh. Do you need rubber pants because of the coffee drinking......? OH, it's raining, Here, in the Pacific Northwest in spring?

I should probably invest in a pair of rubber pants myself, to put on after my coffee drinking just before I head outside into the wet!

Okay I laughed at that turn things around today statement.
I just noticed that quote by Leonard Ravenhill pretty amazing - as was your suggestion on conversations we have today, good point.

So true about prayer. I'll do it.
I've made my own work for today. We're to get a lot of rain the next week and I find that the 6 big round bales I hauled two miles from one of my sheds and piled out by the horse pen are not now needed and will get rained on and ruined. So I'm going to pick them up again. And THAT is why I love horses.

you are in my thoughts and prayers as I wander around my tweener (between spring and winter)farm. The ground is just about thawed, no worms out yet, today's high around 40, but 50's - 60's and rainy for the next week! I have parent-teacher conferences next week, so I will be a little scarce around the garden.

Be well

What a wonderful reflection about including God in our conversations and pausing to hear His voice, dear Lanny.

God first and foremost - 'cause without His strength I don't know --well I just don't know anything worthwhile. Hoping the gardening will assist the mind and heart - that your gathering was good for you. Arise and shine for thy light has come! yes ma'am it's light outside and in

Those pauses in our prayers are quite often the most important part. Thanks for the reminder, Lanny.
